The patented Model 400-M6 System is a compact, stationary hydraulic power pack combined with an integral electronic package. Together they provide the power and control to operate the M6 Series modular forming heads. The heads are precision machined of heat treated stainless steel and designed to produce virtually any tube end form. Single and multi-head arrangements are available.
The M6 tooling can function either as a ram style of end former or as a finger (segmented collet) style of end former. This configuration provides you with the utmost flexibility. The tooling is designed for quick change from one size to another. With capabilities of forming tube diameters from 3" OD to 6'' OD, this tooling accurately forms flares, beads , end expansions (bells), end reductions, etc.
An operator can function the system with minimal effort. The operator places the tube into the tooling. When the tube is positioned, pressing the foot switch initiates a cycle. The tooling grips the tube while reciprocating the forming mandrel or expanding the segmented collets. Upon completion, the tooling releases the tube, allowing for another cycle.
