The patented SelectForm® Model HB Series Hydro Beading Tools when used with the ExpanTek® Model HPS Hydraulic Power Supply provides a quick and precise means of forming a bead on tubes made of aluminum, copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and other materials. The Tool will accurately bead tube diameters from 0.19 in. to 1.38 in. OD (4.7 mm to 35.0 mm OD).
The Model HB Series Tools are precision-machined from heat-treated stainless steel to prolong tool life and produce accurate beads every time. The tool is easy to use, simply place the tool over the tube end and depress the foot switch on the power supply. The tool cycles automatically and produces a bead in 2 to 5 seconds. The tools are designed to not damage the end of the tube during the beading process.
The Model HB Series Tools can be quickly changed from one size tool to another by inserting a NuQuip® High-Pressure Quick Disconnect Coupler between the tool and the high-pressure hydro supply line.
Applications
The SelectForm® Model HB Series Tool is used for beading applications that require the bead to be located very close to the end of the tube.
