We are currently seeking a machinist who can assist us manufacture our components, tools, and
systems for our customers. This position is responsible for all machining operations working on
Nakamura SC-200 to produce quality products for Airmo’s customers.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand concepts
  • Program Nakamura Controller using CNC programming language/code to meet engineering drawing designs
  • Ability to download, edit, run, and save new programs on the Mazak Controller
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Machine parts to specifications using lathes
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
  • Should own machining tooling for measuring
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
  • Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
  • Understanding of machining stainless steel and other high strength materials such as tool steel
  • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information
